Unconscious Man Pushed Out Of Moving Bus In Lagos (Photos)


A man is presently lying unconscious by the side of the road in Iyana-Iba, Badagry expressway, Lagos. He was pushed out of a moving bus, popularly called 'Coaster', and the bus zoomed off.

A witness who sells garden eggs close by said she was arranging her goods to sell when she heard a thud and turned around to see the bus move off.

She raised an alarm, calling to the other female traders nearby but they were all afraid to take any action.

Ibori Arrives Benin Airport In A Chaertered Flight, On His Way To Oghara Delta State (Photos)


Quite a number of the kinsmen of former Governor of Delta State, James Ibori, were at the Benin Airport in Edo State to welcome him. Ibori arrived on Chartered flight and immediately proceeded to his village in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta state. Many politicians who turned up at Osubi airport in Delta state waiting for him to land there followed him to Oghara where they plan to give him a rousing welcome.

US Authorities Suspend President Donald Trump's Controversial Ban On Travellers

US authorities on Saturday suspended President Donald Trump's controversial ban on travellers from seven Muslim countries, following a court ruling that blocked its enforcement.

"We have reversed the provisional revocation of visas," a US State Department spokesman told AFP.

The department had said some 60,000 travel visas had been revoked in compliance with the president's recent executive order.

"Those individuals with visas that were not physically cancelled may now travel if the visa is otherwise valid," the official said.

The long hands of the amiable Governor of Lagos State has reached Ifako Ijaiye Housing Estate today as every shop and illegal structures were all brought down. The Government had said residential estates should remain residential and business activities which floats freely like a market must all stop. People who also extended their apartments also got those structures removed. There were wailings, but people could do little or nothing as officials for Lagos State Ministry of Environment went with soldiers. A source said they had been there before and the structures demolished were built back, hence this force.

Police Arrest 5 Suspected Killers Of Custom Officer In Lagos


The Nigeria Police have arrested five suspected killers of Mr Aliyu Dayyab, Assistant Superintendent in the Nigeria Customs Service.

Force Spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, Chief Superintendent of Police, made the disclosure on Friday in Abuja when he presented the suspects before newsmen.

He said the suspects are: Lucky Williams, 29, the leader of the gang, Akinloye Samuel, Abraham Lot, Bolaji Taiwo, 25, and Lanre Aimuto, 33.

He said that an Infinix cell phone, belonging to one of the victims was recovered from Williams.
Moshood said the suspects were arrested on Dec. 28, 2016 and Jan. 18, 2017 respectively, following coordinated operation by the I-G’s Intelligence Response Team and Techenical Intelligence Unit.

Audu Maikori Retracts His Statement That 5 Students Of Kaduna State College Of Education Were Killed In Southern Kaduna Crisis

 
Chocolate City president, Audu Maikori, has released a statement retracting a story he shared online some weeks ago where he said that 5 students of the Kaduna state College of Education were killed in the Southern Kaduna crisis.

According to Maikori, after carrying out a detailed investigation that involved the police, he found out that his driver who claimed his brother was also killed, lied to him just to extort money. 

DSS Officials Allegedly Beat Up Teachers For Flogging A Student


Some teachers of the Federal Government Girls' College, F.G.G.C., Calabar were beaten yesterday by people they claim to be officials of the Department of State Service, DSS. The DSS stormed the school following a report that a teacher had beaten a senior student who happens to be the daughter of a DSS operative.
The teacher, Mr. Owai Owai, revealed that the senior student had taken some junior students to sweep her class, something Owai had warned them against doing, so he decided to punish the entire class for going against his instructions barring them from forcing junior students to sweep their classroom.
As he began to flog the students, one of them grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, prompting him to flog her some more. The girl reportedly ran outside the class and made a call to her DSS official mother. Soon after, a woman and a man walked into the class, took the cane from Owai and began to flog him with it. His colleagues who came to his rescue were also attacked.
